Directions

From the Skye Bridge go right on the A87 in the direction of Broadford.
Just after Sconser, take a left turn at Sligachan on to the A863.
After about 7 miles, take the left turn on to the B8009 to the Minginish Peninsula & Tattie Bogle Trail.  Follow the road through Carbost and head up the hill after the Talisker Distillery towards Portnalong.
After about 3 miles, there is a junction, take the left road to Fiscavaig.
Glendale is the first house on the right immediately after this junction - it is easily identified by the semi circular drive.

The Cottage is on the right as you enter the drive and the Studio is on the left - both will be well sign posted and parking areas marked.

By Car:

By Train:
There is no railway on Skye. The two nearest train stations on the mainland are Kyle of Lochalsh from Inverness then connect to local bus route and Mallaig from Glasgow. There is a ferry from Mallaig to Armadale, with connection to local bus route.

By Bus:
National bus services are operated by Citylink from both Glasgow and Inverness to Portree, booking is recommended. See www.citylink.co.uk

By Ferry:
The 3 main ferry ports on Skye are serviced by Calmac.
Mallaig to Armadale.
Uig to Lochmaddy (North Uist) or Tarbert (Harris).
Sconser to Raasay.

A small privately owned company also operates a ferry from Glenelg to Kylehea. This takes you off the main route and along a stretch of single track road, but the views are spectacular and worth taking this scenic route if you have the time.

The nearest International Airport to Skye is Glasgow and the nearest local Airport is Inverness.  Car Hire is available at both Airports and it is recommended booking in advance.
